USE OF MATERIALS IN QUALITY FURNITURE

The use of materials in quality furniture is based on the right raw material selections that offer durability, aesthetics and functionality together.

Material standards for an upper segment furniture should be as follows:

1. Frame and Wood Selection

Solid Hardwoods: Hard woods such as oak, hornbeam, walnut or beech should be preferred for skeleton and load-bearing parts. These woods do not bend under load and are long-lasting.

Cladding and Panel Structure: High-density MDF or natural wood veneer panels should be used in body panels. Chipboard or low-density boards are not preferred in quality furniture.

2. Sponge and Upholstery Materials

High Density Sponge: HR (High Resilience) sponges of 32-35 DNS (density) and above should be used in seating areas. It does not collapse over time and maintains its form.

Fabric Quality: Natural fiber-weighted or high-quality synthetic weavings with stain-resistant, high Martindale (abrasion resistance) value should be preferred.

3. Fasteners and Accessories

Mechanism and Rails: Soft-close hidden rail systems and steel hinges should be used on drawers and doors.

Joining Techniques: Not only with screws and glue; Traditional and strong wood joining techniques such as dowel pins, tenons or lamp tenons should be applied.

In summary: Quality furniture is not what looks stylish from the outside; it is furniture that contains a hardwood frame, high-density sponge and first-class mechanisms.
